Description of Work

Mr. Gudgel has been the Principal of Yellow Springs High School/McKinney School (grades 7-12) for ten years.  To many people he is a friend and confidant.  Mr. Gudgel grew up in Yellow Springs and graduated from YSHS in 1975.  Mr. Gudgel earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Toledo and his Masters Degree from the University of Dayton.  He has done additional course work at Antioch College, Central State University, MacGregor School, and Wright State University.  Mr. Gudgel also serves as our boys track coach (seven state titles).

Mr. Gudgel is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the school that involve but are not limited to academics, social and emotional needs for the entire YSHS/McKinney School community.  During his tenure as Principal of YSHS/McKinney the school was designated as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.  Many innovative features have been implemented during his years as Principal.  Mr. Gudgel maintains an open door policy and promotes the value of everyone working together.
