What's New at Mills Lawn?
6th Grade Egyptian Mask Project
Students use teamwork and artistic skill to make a mask using their own face as a mold and then design the mask in the style of the ancient Egyptians.
Fire Station Visits
Our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes visited the Miami Township Fire Station to learn more about fire safety and how the station protects our community.
Positive Memories of the Twin Towers
September 11th is a national day of remembrance and a time to focus on service to your community.
Constitution Day
We honored "Constitution Day" at Mills Lawn School with features on the morning news as well as classroom activities. Mr. Trumbull's 4th grade class sang the Preamble to the Constitution on the morning news and showed spirited support of this great document. Ms. Morgan's 4th grade class also shared their "Classroom Constitution" on the morning news which was developed to help guide their classroom efforts and create understandings about how to be successful. All of our students learned about our country's Constitution in an age appropriate way and celebrated the 225 anniversary of this great document.
PTO Potluck
The Mills Lawn PTO Potluck was a raging success this year. We had beautiful weather and great food! The band "Pop Rocks" invited kids to play music and sing along with them as they performed some timeless children's favorites. The entire MLS community thanks the PTO for their efforts to make this event great. This is a special annual event that helps bring families and staff members together to connect over a meal and share their excitement about a great school year. See ya next year!
