Our Leader, Mr. Day

To many students at Yellow Springs High School, John Day is not only our history teacher, but also our School Forest advisor. He came to our school in 1993 and since then has been in charge of SF. He does much of the behind-the-scenes work for SF, such as bring the tractor and tools to workdays, making up all the necessary paperwork, and, most importantly, making sure we don't slack. We often wish he'd let us slack more but then there wouldn't be any trees to sell and we'd be broke. :(

Under Mr. Day's leadership we have taken SF from a rather dismal state a few years ago to now being pretty well off. In the next few years Mr. Day will see the first of the trees he planted sold. We're sure this will bring him much joy.
