Grant Will Support Internship Program at YSHS
On June 28, Clark State Community College was awarded a STEM Public-Private Pilot Program grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education in the amount of $149,999.
The grant—written collaboratively by Dawn Boyer, YSS Director of Advancement and staff from the Clark State Foundation—supports the development of a student internship program at YSHS that will allow students to gain hands-on training in engineering.
Participants will spend a portion of their time at SAS Automation in Xenia (YS resident Trent Fisher is the owner and president) and will earn three credits from Clark State through the program, which is slated to begin in the 2017-18 school year.
