Mills Lawn students invited to sing at Antioch College dedication of the
Coretta Scott King Center for Cultural and Intellectual Freedom
March 27, 2007, 6:30 P.M.

Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, has invited interested Mills Lawn students to join the Antioch Chamber Orchestra and Chorus, as well as several other choirs, in the concert to sing two selections: ‘Motherless Child’ and  ‘Siyahamba (We Are Singing)’.

Mary K. Franz, Mills Lawn music teacher, is teaching both songs to the students in music class. The dedication of the Coretta Scott King Center for Cultural and Intellectual Freedom is a national event featuring a guest speaker from The King Center in Atlanta, guest dancers, a video put together by high school students, and musical performances. 

Students interested in performing are asked to attend rehearsals  at Kelly Hall. March 13 and 20 at 6:00 P.M. James Johnston, the director, is also hoping for a dress rehearsal March 26 at 7:00 P.M. and a short warm-up right before the concert. Further details will come at the rehearsals.
