The Unbroken Circle:
Students of Willis "Bing" Davis

Mills Lawn is invited to exhibit three works
February-March 2004

Mills Lawn was invited to exhibit three works made by students in 2003 in collaboration with the artist Bing Davis. The three Diversity Quilts were made during Looking In, Looking Out, our year-long exploration of diversity through the arts.

Mr. Davis invited Mills Lawn to participate in the 2004 REACH Studies Conference and exhibit the works as part of The Unbroken Circle: Students of Willis "Bing" Davis.

Art teacher Amy Minehart and principal Christine Hatton presented the works at Sinclair Community College , Dayton, Ohio. The conference, jointly sponsored by the Dayton Visual Arts Center and Sinclair, celebrated the African American, Appalachian, Latino, Native American, and other ethnic communities and the rich commonalities they share.

The Mills Lawn works were on display at Sinclair Community College and the DVAC.
