Mixed- Media Biography Portraits
Grades 3 and 4

Students brought a picture of the person they were researching for Wax Museum to art class. (At left, Geraldine Mock.)They learned the proportions of the human face and applied what they learned to a portrait drawing.  Then students embellished their works with a variety of media, such as colored pencil, oil pastel, fabric, costume jewelry, and feathers.

On the evening of the Wax Museum, the artwork was on display, along with their biographies, in the gym.
