Eric Stumacher
Classical pianist visits Mills Lawn
March 2007
Pianist Eric Stumacher shared his virtuosic
talent and passion for music with Mills Lawn 5th and 6th graders.
He played various classical selections, then asked the students to share
their personal thoughts and images brought to mind by the music. He
complimented our students’ listening ability and
the thoughtful responses they shared.
Mr. Stumacher is the pianist for the world class chamber ensemble, the
Apple Hill Chamber Players,
Sullivan, NH, which tours the world giving concerts. He is also Executive
Director of the Apple Hill Playing for Peace Music Camp in northern New
Hampshire. The Playing for Peace Project is dedicated to using the
traditions of Apple Hill concerts, residencies, and scholarships to
further the causes of world peace and understanding. Apple Hill is located
near the Antioch East campus in New Hampshire.
Tom Osborne of Yellow Springs, who is associated
with the Chamber Music of Yellow Springs,
was responsible for bringing this presentation to Mills Lawn.
