The students had to use excellent communication skills to get their partners to
create an exact replica of their design. The inspiration for this activity
came from watching a short segment of Apollo 13 where the engineers on
the ground created a device to fit a square filter into a round hole. They
had to communicate up to the astronauts exactly how to do recreate it.
Using the information they gathered about planes to make graphs using Excel.

Exploring with Bernoulli's Principle. Air moving over a curved wing moves faster
than the air moving under the flat side of the wing. This is the basis for
Bernoulli's Principle, and it is what causes the lift of an airplane.
These activities explored that concept.
