First Grade Story Quilts
A cooperative, seasonal paper quilt project

Working cooperatively, first graders from Mrs. Mabra’s and Mrs. Poortinga’s classes create a new quilt each month.  Quality children’s literature is the springboard for the activity. Art and writing are the vehicles which students use to express their understanding of each month’s story.
