Mills Lawn students, families, and staff raised more than $2100 for Hurricane Katrina relief, much of it in coins, which volunteer students counted and wrapped (below). The donations were added to those of McKinney Middle School and Yellow Springs High School. The donations were walked to our local bank in a wheelbarrow, where they were converted to a check (below), and sent to the American Red Cross. A total of nearly $2900 was raised district-wide.
