hugging takes on new meaning when it refers to appreciating sugar maples.
Our fourth graders went to the
Narrows
Reserve (Beavercreek, OH) and learned how to tap sugar maple trees for
syrup and how to identify Ohio’s trees. The
guides also taught students how the Native
Americans introduced the early settlers to this sweet natural resource.
