Mrs. Spracklen’s K-2 students learned about the phases of the moon by making sugar cookies. The children used chocolate frosting to illustrate the earth’s shadow on the moon for four different phases: full moon, quarter moon, crescent moon, and new moon. When the students finished the cookies they ate them with enthusiasm!
