Met with authors Arnold Adoff and Jaime Adoff
Atlanta 2002

Four Mills Lawn teachers attended the National Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English in Atlanta, November 2002.  Becky O'Brien, Ben Trumbull, Pam Dapore, and Jody Pettiford (pictured standing l to r) were privileged to make a presentation to the convention titled "A Digital View." Their presentation focused on how teachers can use technology to enhance language arts instruction.

While at the convention they met Yellow Springs poet and author, Arnold Adoff (seated l), and his son , Jaime Adoff (seated r). Jaime, a former Mills Lawn student, now living in New York City, has just published his first book for children, The Song Shoots Out of My Mouth. The book is a collection of poems, which celebrate music in its many forms.
