Mills Lawn fifth and 5/6 graders  explored the exciting world of robotics during two week-long  robotics residencies in 2001 and 2002.

Joe Graves
, a Robotics Engineer from the University of Maryland Space Systems Laboratory, in conjunction with the  KISS Institute for Practical Robotics, introduced our students to robotics and helped them create programmable robots.

Mentors from WPAFB Educational Outreach Program helped prepare students for this exciting week.

Using
LEGO Mindstorms Robotics, students entered the First Annual Robotics Challenge Competition held at WPAFB.
