Romanian Folk Dancing Residency
Dance teachers  visit Mills Lawn

Mills Lawn students learned about Romanian folk dancing during a two-day dance residency in March 2009 with Cristian Florescu and Sonia Dion.  Cristian and Sonia came to the Miami Valley to conduct a workshop in Romanian folk dance with the Miami Valley Folk Dancers.

The pair are professional dancers and choreographers in Montreal, who in recent years have been teaching recreational folk dance workshops in Canada, Japan, Norway, Taiwan and the U.S., sharing their love of Romanian folk traditions.

Their residency at Mills Lawn School was made possible by a grant from the Dayton Foundation.
