We have another reason to be proud of our school!

Mills Lawn sixth grade teacher and webmaster, Don Nowak, was selected as a regional winner of the  2003 Ohio Technology Teacher of the Year Award. Only 16 teachers from the entire state received this honor.

Yellow Springs Superintendent, Dr. Tony Armocida, wrote, "Don Nowak's work on the Mills Lawn website is a labor of love. Today I saw Don kneel in the snow to take a picture of the most recent construction changes. The website is the first place I go to learn what is happening at the school, and it is not unusual to view events that are only hours old. In all aspects the web site portrays Mills Lawn for what it truly is, a great place for kids to learn."

Along with the recognition, Mr. Nowak received a $500 gift certificate from the Southwestern Ohio Instructional Technology Association  (SOITA) to purchase educational technology for his classroom and complimentary registration to the 2003 Ohio SchoolNet Conference.  At that time the Ohio Technology Teacher of the Year and regional winners were honored.

Congratulations, Mr. Nowak!
