What Floats?

Students in Pat Spracklen’s class recently explored “What Floats”. They read the book Exploring Water as an introduction to the activity. Students were amazed, for example, to see a lime sink and a lemon float. Everyone voted thumbs up for float or thumbs down for sink. They also learned that Pepsi sinks and Diet Coke floats and that the size of the object doesn’t really matter.
