WMLS
Our live daily TV news program

The WLMS News is a daily live video broadcast of information, sharing and special events pertaining to Mills Lawn and the world beyond. The program is shown to the entire student body first thing each morning and at the end of the school day. Local residents can now watch the WMLS Morning News, school days, at 8:20 A.M. on Channel 5.

Morning news crews work on a two week rotation. The crew includes two news anchors, a weather reporter, camera operator, music technician, teleprompter operator, and two sixth grade student news coordinators. The news coordinators oversee the day-to-day WMLS news operations.

The WMLS  afternoon news is crewed by third and fourth graders.

Daily guests to our news programs might read poems, share books, or provide the school with general information of interest.
