World War II produced some great historical figures. This web search highlights some of the major players in this great conflict and reveals the roles of some notable African Americans and women.

Here's what you need to do:

  • Print out a blank copy of the Search or work with two open screens (see below).
  • Use Encarta online encyclopedia to find the answers. Read the articles, look at photos, and hear some of the people featured speak in their own words.
  • Record your answers on paper (or you can keep two screens up while you are working).
  • Then submit your answers to the Search online.
  • Print out your results and hand them in. You do not need to hand in your paper answer sheet. Your teacher will tell you the due date.
