50th Anniversary  Mills Lawn celebrated its 50th Anniversary in a big way.

50th Anniversary Concert  Music and dance celebrated the six decades of Mills Lawn School.

50th Anniversary Program  Bing Davis, U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine, and author-musician Jaime Adoff were among the featured speakers at a memorable program commemorating 50 years of Mills Lawn.

50th Anniversary Song  Hal Walker wrote School Bells Ring especially for our 50th anniversary celebration.

Adopt an Owl  Mills Lawn "adopted" Elgie the Great Horned Owl at the Glen Helen Raptor Center.

African American History Search  Sixth graders participated in this online activity during February.

Art Exhibit  The Village Artisans of Yellow Springs sponsored an exhibit of artworks by Mills Lawn students.

Band Concert  Our fifth and sixth graders entertained and showed what they learned this school year.

Bike Hike  Third and fourth graders learned about bicycle safety and set out for a ride on the bike path.

Bing Davis Art Exhibit  Mills Lawn was invited to exhibit three works of art done by students in collaboration with Mr. Davis.

Construction Project  After more than a year of construction, our new addition was opened in August.

COSI Field Trip  The sixth grade traveled to the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus.

Cox Arboretum  Our kindergartners had a terrific day at a local nature center.

CSI: Mills Lawn  Sixth graders participated in an exciting chemistry and forensic science residency.

Evening in Egypt  The 6th grade showed what it learned about Ancient Egypt, along with a special music and dance performance of King Tut.

Franz Family Fiddlers  The popular bluegrass group came to Mills Lawn for a concert.

Greenhouse  Third graders maintained lush plants in our school greenhouse.

Groundhog Volleyball  The sixth grade took on the Mills Lawn staff.

Glen Helen Naturalist  Third graders studied wildlife up close in the classroom.

Glen Helen Science Residency  Third and fourth graders learned about biodiversity at our local nature preserve.

International Night  Sixth graders presented their work on more than 40 countries around the world.

Invention Convention  Sixth graders studied about inventions and inventors, then created their own amazing inventions.

Jump Rope for Heart  P.E. students jumped rope for the American Heart Association.

K-12 Gallery exhibit  Mills Lawn students exhibited artwork at the gallery in Dayton

KidFood Drive  The Student Council collected food for those in need.

KinderConcert  Our kindergartners took us on a Sentimental Journey.

Kindergarten at the Boonshoft  Kindergartners visited the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.

Kindergarten Japan Celebration  Kindergartners wrapped up their study of Japan with art, music, games, and food.

Kindergarten School Pictures  Our kindergartners posed for their first Mills Lawn school photos.

Laptop computer donation  A local resident donated 30 laptop computers to Mills Lawn.

Laser Residency  Dr. Jim Grote returned as a Mills Lawn scientist in residence and worked with the fifth and sixth grades.

Medieval Festival  Sixth graders held their annual tribute to those "days of old" and invited some special guests.

MicroWorld Quiz  Our sixth graders created an interactive online quiz using a digital microscope.

Mills Yard Bistro  Fifth and sixth graders do lunch and learn in the process.

NAEA Conference Presentation  Mills Lawn gave a presentation about Looking In, Looking Out to the National Art Education Association meeting in Denver, Colorado.

Native American Totem Night  Fifth and sixth graders showed what they learned about Native American culture.

New addition video tour  Take a video tour of our new addition.

Ocean Watercolors  First graders painted what they learned about ocean habitats.

Ohio Caverns  Our second graders explored one of Ohio's natural wonders.

Ohio History Wax Museum  Fourth graders researched and portrayed famous Ohioans.

Ohio P.E. & Dance Conference  Mills Lawn demonstrated physical education dance activities to a state-wide conference of teachers.

Orchestra Concert  Our fifth and sixth graders entertained and showed what they learned this school year.

Picture Book Read-in  Third graders enjoyed the best in children's picture books.

Reality Day  Students learned about the world of work and money.

Reindeer Run  Kindergarten students jingled all the way during the holiday season

Retired Staff Club  Our retired staff members stay in touch with one another and with Mills Lawn.

Robotics Challenge  Mills Lawn students participated in the FIRST Lego League Robotics Challenge, then went to the regional and state championships.

Senior Citizens' Day  Kindergartners spread good cheer at the YSHS Senior Citizens' Day.

Senior Tea  Mills Lawn's annual party for senior citizens.

Sixth Grade Farewell  We sent our sixth graders off to seventh grade with our annual celebration event.

Square Dancing in P.E.  First and second graders learned to do-si-do.

Staff Emeritus  Mills Lawn honored four retired staff members.

Third Grade Magic Show  Our third graders studied non-fiction, then put on a wonderful magic show.

Toys for Tots  The Student Council collected toys for the Marine Corps annual drive.

Watercolors  Fourth graders painted in watercolors and produced some beautiful works of art.
